Who's He Trying To Impress? is Challenge 5-C in the original TimeSplitters. It involves allowing The Impersonator to seem the best shooter and not die. It comes after Lasting Impressions and before Barrel Blast.
Briefing[]
Now the King want to show off! Your team must win with 25 kills and the King must not die. Do not personally score more than 3 or else the King's feelings will be hurt. You have 1 min 15 secs.
Strategy[]
In order to win this, you need to get the target, but kill no more than three people. Mostly, it's about your luck with The Impersonator, but you can help.
If people are shooting at the Impersonator, stand in front of them and let them kill you, The Impersonator will shoot them. Try to block them in their base, it gives the Impersonator more of a chance to kill them, and you'll be blocking them from shooting the Impersonator. You can kill a few, make sure they're the ones you think are more likely to kill the Impersonator. You're allowed to kill three, anymore and you lose. So make sure you do kill three as this will make things easier.
To elaborate, the best place to "stand" to block them into their base is on the ramp leading to their spawns. (You can go further in if you want, but be cautious) If any of the enemies get a hold of a gun (Usually Pistol x2), you will generally draw the aggro of the aggressors and leave the King unharmed. Once the King kills them (His AI is garbage, so that's a coin toss at best), try and run forward to grab the pistols the enemy drops quickly, in order to prevent other enemies from grabbing the fallen weapons. That'll give you more time just blocking useless enemies instead of being a meatshield. Remember that you can respawn as fast as you hit the button. Try and memorize your spawn points so you can effectively jump back into the "block" spot.
Also be sure not to turn your back to the action as this triggers cheap AI, meaning the King will score less kills and is practically guaranteed to die.
In the end, this match is almost entirely luck based. Sometimes the King fights effectively, other times he'll have a severe lack of spacial awareness and run into the enemies' spawn for no reason, ignoring the enemies plugging him in the back. The above strategies are merely meant to tip the odds slightly more in your favor.
