The Timed Mine has appeared in all of the TimeSplitters games to date. When thrown, a Timed Mine beeps for a few seconds, before exploding. The Timed Mine sticks to all surfaces, including walls, ceilings, items, and even other characters. In TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters Future Perfect, it explodes seven seconds after sticking to a surface.
In TimeSplitters 1, this weapon has a triangular part on the top, which, when attached to a surface, begins to spin at a faster and faster rate according to the speed of the beeping sound, eventually exploding.
When "if best" is switched on, the Timed Mine ranks as the joint worst weapon on TS1, on the same level as the Brick and other mines.
Trivia[]
- In early builds of Future Perfect, thrown Timed Mines were much larger.
