Outbreak Hotel is an Honorary Arcade League match in TimeSplitters Future Perfect.
Briefing[]
You'd think a hotel full of medical conference attendees would be a pretty healthy place to stay. Not so, it's a run down flea pit and coupled with low standards of personal hygiene it was only a matter of time before the lurgy broke out. Keep on the move and stay away from infected carriers, that envirosuit won't help you much here.
Strategy[]
Pay close attention to the clicks, telling you how close the Virus is, the fast the clicks the closer an infected NPC is to you. Just try to run away at all times. In most cases, there is more than one exit. There is another tactic where you can camp in the the room with two stairways and stay there. While there, be sure to toss around the occasional proximity mine (since they can respawn there too). The Ghost Gun can be very useful due to the match being set on one hit kills, making you able to kill multiple virus victims very quickly with it.
A good alternate tactic is to find the outdoor yard area which contains a Ghost Gun spawn. Standing at the back wall allows you to watch both entrances into the yard, the Ghost Gun is also virtually an instant kill. It is quite easy to last the 3 minute timer by holding down the yard, be mindful that infected NPCs can sometimes randomly respawn in the yard, though, so caution and quick reactions must be maintained at all times. The Ghost Gun spawn will also ensure you never run out of ammo.
Trivia[]
- Interestingly, this match is set to enable One Hit Kills. This is normally impossible on Virus matches.
- This challenge's title is possibly a reference to the Elvis Presley song Heartbreak Hotel.
