Monkey Immolation is the first in the Too Hot to Handle Series, and also introduces Virus.
Briefing[]
Those pesky pyromaniac primates have been juggling burning torches, with disastrous results! The game ends when everyone is set on fire... So avoid those frantic furry flamers!
Strategy[]
To rack up enough time to get a Gold, start in the Courtyard, ground level and grab the Speed Pick-up. Run through the Mission, avoiding any burning monkeys to the back of the mission where the stairs leading up to the second floor of the mission and another Speed Pick-up can be found. Go up the stairs, past the open ceiling in the centre of the mission to where the bell is. Next, grab the armour and carefully go left, over to where a Cloak Pick-up can be found. Now, wait for the inferno monkeys to get close before you jump off. Then, run around the courtyard so the monkeys aren't blocking the main entrance of the mission. Now, repeat all of these steps to ensure a good time.
- Alternative strategy (probably simpler) make your way to the courtyard & then get on top of the building with the ladder (get any speed ups you can on the way), if your very lucky you'll get the glitch (see below) & you can put your feet up for 3 minutes while you wait for your platinum. If not then face the ladder & wait for the viruses, when they come up the ladder turn & run off the other side of the building, towards the mission, get the speed up if it's there or go to where it would be (near the fountain) then swing around to your right, go behind the building to that side, then go around the building which is furthest from the mission, this brings you pretty close to the ladder again so go up it & keep repeating the process, this must be the easiest platinum in the whole game.
- HH. Shetland's alternative strategy: If you didn't know about the glitch (like me when I first did this match) or you just can't be bothered, there is another strategy that will give platinum. It's fairly simple; just walk over to courtyard, wait for all the other monkeys to get infected with the virus, then let them chase as you run circles around the three buildings opposite the Mission. Whatever you do, don't stop and make sure all the Monkeys stay on one side of the buildings. If one manages to split from the main group, you can still run past it, just be careful and hope this doesn't happen in a close-quarters chokepoint. Just run, run, run until the time runs out. It is incredibly tedious, but you'll get yourself a Platinum out of it.
Glitch[]

There's a glitch in this match that prevents the monkeys from getting you at a particular spot. Usually, when you climb up the only hut in the courtyard with a ladder behind it, the monkeys get stuck at the bottom and can't get up, making for an easy victory.
