Trivia[]

  • Tomb, Spaceways, Aztec, and Robot Factory are taken from Story Mode, but they are smaller in Arcade Mode.
  • Planet X, Spaceship, Ice Station, Ufopia, Mars Prison, and VR are the only maps not to take place on Earth.
  • Village, Planet X, Chasm, Venice, Temple, and Zeppelin - as well as Wild West, Atom Smasher, Aztec Ruins, The Khallos Express, and What Lies Below - have bottomless pit areas that kill the player instantly.
  • Only the first three maps in TS1, and the first five maps in TS2, are unlocked by default. However, all maps in TSFP are unlocked by default.
    • Since Chinese appears in all games, this means it only has to be unlocked in TS2.
  • Chinese is the only level to appear in all games. Site, Compound, and Streets appear in TS1 & TS2, whilst Mexican Mission and Training Ground appear in TS2 & TSFP.
    • Streets is extended in TS2, whilst Chinese is extended in TSFP.
    • Streets is the only map to have different music in the game it returns in, though the track for Chinese is extended in TS2 & TSFP.
  • Hangar and Chasm are the only maps to share a music track, though some other maps do share music with non-Arcade maps.
    • In TS2, Streets just uses the Alien Tileset track. Similarly, in TSFP, Siberia just uses the Military Tileset track
    • TS2 Virtual Tileset reuses the TS1 Alien Tileset track; TS2 Gothic Tileset reuses the Castle track; VR reuses the TS1 Virtual Tileset track
