Leo Krupps is one of the performers in the Circus. He is a deranged man in a lion suit, formerly the circus' lion tamer. He is still capable of speaking English, as shown in his gesture from TimeSplitters Future Perfect. His eyes are visible against the darkness of the suit's mouth, similar to Robert One-Oh Seven's.

Gallery Leo was once the circus lion tamer. But over the years he adopted more and more of his lions characteristics until one morning he was found alone in the lions' cage, roaring and dribbling. He has lived as a lion ever since.

His first appearance in TimeSplitters 2 established his role as one of the many members of the Circus, though he is shown to be related to other locations. During the Nice Threads mission, he is partnered with Robert One-Oh-Seven, another joke character who shares a passion for dressing up in costumes, who both decided to storm the Scrapyard Control Room. Krupps also appears in Killer Queen, a Gladiator match set in the Aztec map, which shows his relation to the wild and being a supposed lion. Finally, he appears in Big Top Blowout alongside his fellow freaks at the Circus. Krupps also appears in the Aztec, Chinese, Circus, Hairy Faces and Site bot sets.

His gallery entry is replicated from that of TimeSplitters 2, therefore little more is revealed of him. His gesture in the game, though shared by several other characters, shows Leo Krupps to still be a speaker of human language (English in this case). The only appearance in the entire game for Krupps is in Rumble In The Jungle, reinforcing his status as a lion rather than a circus freak.

Trivia[]

  • His voice clips were given to Envirosuit in TimeSplitters Future Perfect and the Shock Troopers in Second Sight, another game by Free Radical Design.
  • Leo Krupps, The Master and Ghengis Kant all have the same gesture, but each with their own dialogue.
    • Leo's gesture dialogue is a snippet of Schmidt's.
  • His gesture in Future Perfect could be a reference to Tony the Tiger, as the quote is similar to the catchphrase of the cereal mascot, both appear as anthropomorphic jungle cats (though Tony is a tiger, whereas Leo is merely wearing a suit), and both share the same voice actor (Tom Clarke Hill).
    • It's also interesting to note, since Tom Clarke Hill also voices Cortez. The gag was most likely made considering Tom Clarke Hill was already providing VA work for Cortez, so FRD decided to throw in a little gag to his work as Tony the Tiger.
