Story[]

1994, Mansion of Madness[]

In Mansion of Madness (his only story appearance), he comes in only two forms: 1 - wielding a Baseball Bat. 2 - running very fast, but with very low health, very similar to Daisy Dismay. But in both cases, he is almost always very poorly placed in terms of strategy. Two key examples of this are as follows: In the hallway shortly after defeating the Deerhaunter, a large number of enemies will attempt to ambush Jo-Beth and Cortez. Among them is Jed. However, Jed's purpose here is essentially cannon fodder, as that he appears at the far end of the hallways wielding a bat, where he makes a very easy target for a well-placed shotgun round. The other example is at the end of the hallway with the beetles, where a fast Daisy Dismay will attempt to chase the player. This usually forces even the knowing player to back up somewhat down the hallway. Only after Daisy Dismay has arisen to attack will a similar Jed attack, though, by this time, even the inexperienced player will have figured out that they need to back up some, and Jed presents himself as a very easy target in the narrow hallway for the shotgun.

Trivia[]

  • The description of Jed in the gallery says: "Jed's dead, baby." This is a reference to Butch Coolidge's text in the Pulp Fiction scene where he is sitting on a motorcycle and Fabienne (his girlfriend) asks whose bike it is, to which he replies "It's from Zed." Then Fabienne asks who Zed is, and he says "Zed's dead, baby." (because Zed was killed earlier in the film).
  • He reuses Feeder Zombie's voice clips, which he shares with Arthur Aching and Gideon Gout (voiced by Graeme Norgate).
  • His internal name is trampzombie.
