Jacque de la Morte is a Frenchman that has been driven mad by visions of what he thought were "Angels", which were actually the TimeSplitters. He has a bald head, hidden underneath a black stovepipe hat, and wears a beige coat with a white scarf.

Jacque first appears in TimeSplitters 2. He is the main villain found in Notre Dame Cathedral during the Notre Dame mission. A relatively strong character (but weak boss), Jacque has many other tools during the mission including hordes of zombies, his immortal followers, Changelings and the Portal Daemon. The deadly Scourge Splitters appearing on the rooftop along with Jacque makes the fight even harder.

Out of the Notre Dame mission, Jacque only appears in the Chinese and Hospital bot sets.

Jacque returns for TimeSplitters Future Perfect like most of the Notre Dame cast. He appears in two Arcade League matches set in the Zeppelin map, Rockets 101 and Zany Zeppelin, as well as another set in the Venice map. Despite this, he only appears in the bot set of Hotel, a map associated with Horror.

1895, Notre Dame Cathedral

Main article: Notre Dame (Story)

Jacque once led a cult of dark priests. Under his influence, they sacrificed their souls for the costly gift of immortality. They served as Jacque's elite undead army of followers. He also raised the remains of the dead laying in the sewers and the passed monks of the cathedral.

Believing to have had visions of the Angels of Time, he sacrificed many innocent Maidens to them in the hope of appeasing them. The dark deeds of Jacque attracted the evil spirits of changelings, as well as the Portal Daemon, a gigantic being from another dimension.

Viola and Mister Underwood were onto his evil deeds and entered the cathedral through the sewers in the hope of rescuing the maidens and ending Jacque's made reign. With help from the Hunchback, the Maidens were rescued, and he left it up to the two to head on and defeat Jacque, which they succeeded in doing.

  • In the French versions of the series, his name is Jacques la Mort, translated as 'Jack the Death' in English. 'Jacque de la Morte' translates as 'Jack of the Death'.
  • Jacque de la Morte's gesture is a pun on the expression 'It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings'.
  • Crypt Zombie uses most of his voice clips, but Doctor Pustule reuses all his voice clips, with the pitch lowered.
  • He shares his gesture with Lenny Oldburn, but with different gesture dialogue.
