The TimeSplitters trilogy joins the PlayStation Plus catalogue
PlayStation announced today the new titles to join the PlayStation Plus catalogue on August 20 - these titles include all 3 TimeSplitters games which will be playable on both PS4 and PS5. Click here to read the article on the PlayStation Blog
Xbox had already added TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect to the Xbox Store in November 2021. PlayStation fans had been waiting for the series to be added to the PlayStation Plus catalogue ever since and hope rose when rumors appeared online in June 2024.
Free Radical Design could close before Christmas
Video Games Chronicle reported on 8 November that Free Radical Design could close once again as part of Embracer's restructuration plan.
Various TSFP emulation things
I've been playing around with Future Perfect on an emulator, as part of a personal quest to get the Machine Wars-exclusive robot AI into MapMaker, and found some stuff relating to the characters.
First of all, the Prometheuses and Inseticks you fight in the Machine Wars are entirely separate characters from their arcade versions, and their unique AI behaviour perfectly carries over into MapMaker, as with the NPC SentryBots in TS2. Most annoyingly, this means you can save them as part of the custom bot set for the map, and load it later without any problems whatsoever - so, as with the NPC SentryBots in TS2, there is no reason why we must be stuck with the inferior AI the arcade characters use instead. Unfortunately, the Insetick SK/10 has n…
TimeSplitters Wiki Update
As you may have noticed, the TimeSplitters Wiki has received a new look these last days. New main page, new font, updated templates... all these changes were made to give the Wiki a more modern look and also to fix readability issues caused by the introduction of an option to switch between a light theme and a dark theme in 2021. Dark theme users should now be able to use the Wiki without troubles.
Other changes include the return of featured articles, introduced way back in 2006 but never updated since March 2013. The main page also features a new Twitter timeline and a bloglist, their purpose being to serve you news concerning the Wiki and TimeSplitters in general.
I hope you like these changes. If you encounter issues or think anything co…
Voices
Wasn't Cortez in TS2 voiced by Everal Walsh, rather than TCH? And didn't Walsh also voice Stone Golem, Sgt. Shock, and Feeder Zombie? Just occured to me, since Cortez always sounded different to me in the two games, and that Cortez in TS2 sounds like the TS2 narrator (voiced by Walsh), and that TCH wasn't credited for TS2, to my knowledge.

i mean, here some art, you can find it on my other social media.

Modding TS2 guns on GC version
Ok, first and foremost, you need an .iso (NTSC gamecube version) and you will need Dolphin emulator.
P.S. I'm bad at making tutorials.
- 1 How to edit?
- 2 Base Offsets in .iso
- 3 Editing the Weapon's stats
- 4 Projectile IDs
You will need to download a Hex editor. I use HxD. Open up the .iso file via HxD. You'll see numbers and ABCDEF letters representing binary values. On the left side you'll see an offset, which is kind of like jumping to a certain line on a text document. This blog will tell you what offset to look for. (press Ctrl+G to jump to an offset using HxD)
Add 0x240 offset per gun (ie.) 3266F0+240 = 0x3266F0, and 0x326930+0x240 would be 0x326B70 as seen below.
0x3266F0 silenced pistol
0x326930 silenced luger
0x326B70 luger

How I learned to data mine the game?
In this blog, i am going to talk about how I got into the technical and data side of things. First off I was looking on google for TS2 mods or an editing program to see if there were any because other old games had a few mods which add to the replay value of things, fix annoying bugs, add difficulty or balance games to the modders liking. I had no idea how to do any of these things and had no prior experience in coding, or binary & hexadecimal AT ALL. I'm still not THAT good at finding these things, but nonetheless this has became a fun and interesting hobby for me.
With taking a liking to mod games I enjoyed to play, I was curious how to mod TS2. I knew these types of games were moddable since I played a Super Smash Bros Brawl mod before. …
TS2 - Weapon Stats
Here I will document each Weapon statistics excluding damage.
ROF = Rate of Fire, in frames. The game runs at 60 frames per second on NTSC or 50 on pal. Guns with 2 values shows the primary and secondary firing speeds most of the time. Less means faster.
- Silenced - weapon is less likely to alert enemies if firing near.
- AI ROF Modifier - affects how much slower the AI shoots with a gun, based on AI level. AI levels 5 and under use the fastest value, AI levels 10 and lower use the middle value.
- Ricochet - presumably the chance for bullets to bounce off surfaces. Certain non-bullet guns have this, and may do different things (flamethrower/fire extinguisher)
- RPM - rounds per minute, just a conversion of ROF for 60 FPS. Burst fire weapons take in accou…
TimeSplitters 1 Stuff
Since I modded TS2 and TS:FP, i wanted to try and approach TS1 and see what i could mod on it. Being a simpler game, there is less to dig up but I wanted to see how the game works
All killable things have 1.0 hitpoints, which is weird in all difficulties. There is many multipliers to calculate the damage.
On the wiki, chest damage is correct, head shots deal 12.5 times more damage, and leg shots deal only 0.4 times the damage, on all bullet weapons.
TS2 and TS:FP have their characters/guns sorted manually, while TS1 is all ordered by internal ID.
The handicap multipliers gives the exact same damage-taken modifiers in all 3 games
Bizarre Temporal Uplink Glitch
Found this really odd glitch in one of my mapmaker levels. So this level is called Sewers,at this point it might as well be called Cursed Sewers lol. Anyway so theres this one specific room were weird shit happens. At random times the character I'm playing as will have a grenade or a temporal uplink on thier hand/arm. When switching weapons they tend to go away. I have no clue how its triggered, all know is walking in that room and occasionally the temporal uplink will appear on the characters wrist. I believe it can happen with any character. I've had it happen to Capt.Fitzgerald, Handyman, Undead Priest, Clip Clamp, Gladstone, Teeth Mummy, and Mr.Giggles. I even did 2 Players to see if the other person could see it on their arm. No they …
TS2 - Bot Stats
Character Warning: Complex technical maths ahead, from the internal numbers the game uses.
AI Level: Lower Level is better, Level 1-5 fire the fastest, level 6-10 fire medium speed and level 11-15 fire the slowest. This multiplier value varies from weapon to weapon.
Story HP: 1+0.2(15-lvl) (Easy/Normal/Hard HP)
Arcade HP: Uses a very complex formula for Chilled and Frantic
- On Normal: AI has 0.75 to 1.25 HP based on movement speed. The Base HP is 1.0 for the AI. Every 0.5 movespeed above 8 will lower health by 0.125. Formula is 1+(8-spd)*0.25
- On Frantic, the AI gains 0.5(15-lvl)/15 bonus HP. This equals 0.46667 to 0 bonus HP based on level.
- On Chilled, all characters move slower. ((spd*0.7)+8)/2. Since characters move below 8 speed, Chilled chara…
My military page
Hey, guys. Some of you have noticed the new article, The Russian Military, which I created. So far, only I have edited on it, but if anyone thinks they have more useful info for it, please feel free to add to the page!
Zeppelin Fan Glitch
I found a Zeppelin glitch about 10 years ago, which I don't think is even on this site yet. Every time I mention it to someone online, they always think I'm talking about the propeller glitch, which is rather annoying. I'm actually talking about the FAN glitch on Zeppelin. That's the FAN, NOT the propeller! The fan lifts you up, the propeller kills you - there's a difference. Anyway, In all 3 games, if you die in mid-air, your death animation will not play until you touch the floor. Whilst on TSFP, the Zeppelin's fans will lift you up, and thus, you will never touch the ground, unless you want to by simply moving off at your own leisure. Put 2 and 2 together, you can die, but not 'die'. If you're still confused (God help you), you basically…

Top 3 Hardest Matches to Platinum
Not counting TS1 but you can add a challenge from that game if ya want I don't know how hard it is.
But this is for Platinum so idk what you'd consider platinum in TS1.
Oh yeah Matches = Leagues + Challenges
Top 3 Favorite Songs?
Playing TS3 on a Gamecube emulator without many of the amazing songs from 1 and 2 made me nearly forget this series' amazing soundtracks
Just like my other blogs doesn't matter which game.
Top 3 Favorite Characters?
It can be from any Timesplitters game, but it must be top 3.
Any reason applies doesn't have to be some super cool story character or design or anything just your top 3.
TS1 Briefings
Just for fun, I'm gonna be writing down TS2-style "briefings" for TS1's levels down below.
It's complete turmoil at the Anna Spaceways. One of the largest Spaceports on Earth, currently undergoing delay after delay. The passengers are getting angry and impatient, and soon there's gonna be a hell of a firefight breaking out there!
Too bad for a certain robot walking by to grab the Duty Free Goods and board the Yareel express, they're gonna be caught right in the brunt of it.
There's nothing here to say. You've beaten all of the other challenges in this game so far. So have one last big firefight to end Story mode with! This is a big, violent straight shot to the end goal, with plenty of enemies in your way. Go forth, and finish this game!
TS2 Damage and Health
The following applies to Story mode only, health and damage in Arcade scales completely differently.
Headshot damage in TS2 deals 4.0 damage. Reaper Splitters have 4.5/9/13.5 HP. Scourge have 3/7/10. So using the 100% of life as the measurement is inaccurate. Not to mention shotguns per pellet deal 2.0 headshot damage (diminishes at longer distance) which is roughly half the damage.
Regular enemies have somewhere between 1.0 and 3.8 hitpoints usually, so headshots can overkill.
Stone Golems and Wood Golems are actually completely different characters than what you can select (they have a white portrait, but inherit their aztec story attributes). Same with sentry bot (which has a unique death animation) and more health.
Laser guns also deal 10.…

My sort of review thingy of TS1
So, before we get into this, I just need to say that I haven't 100%ed the game yet. I'm currently tackling the story missions, I've only briefly touched the challenges, and so forth. In case you wanna know, I've done all the levels on easy and Normal, done one level on hard, and done section 1 of the challenges. Frankly, I think that's enough to warrant a review of the game because... Frankly, TS1 doesn't have much to it, so yeah.
So TimeSplitters 1. This... Sort of oddball in the community hasn't really been talked about at length. Yeah, we got articles describing it, but thanks to a lot of users having not actually played TS1, we haven't had much discussion.
I'm here to basically give my thoughts on the game, how it stacks up to TS2 and TSFP…
DMS' Top Five Hardest Story Mode Levels in the TS Series
Just a silly thing for fun (And to get me a badge, ho ho ho) I'm gonna list what I consider to be the hardest TimeSplitter levels in the mainline series. Keep in mind, these are my opinions. If you disagree, that's cool. Just don't be a dickweed about it. Let's get started.
==
"Whuuuuah? It isn't Robot Factory??"
No, it isn't. Because I don't consider Robot Factory hard. At all.
Robot Factory is long as fuck, yes, but... It gives you everything you need to beat the level. Taking it slowly makes it a lot easier. But I won't rant about that.
Instead, I'll rant about how horribly difficult this level is.
Oh God, where do I start with this level?? You've got a depressingly short time limit on the harder difficulties... On top of a horribly difficult l…
New start
Aplogies for my stupidly long absence. It has been far too long since I did anything impactful here on this wiki. Nothing against this wiki or anything, but I lost interest quickly due to the inactivity. I only made it worse to be honest. Anyway, from now on I'll try my best to stay as active as possible. More people need to do the same, and this goes for all wikis not just this one. Again, apologies for the silence. Thankyou.
Favourite one off character from each game?
For me...
TS1: Float Alien
TS2: Drone Splitter
TS3: Shoal
The forums are dead...
I seriously think that we should get the forums up and running again. They are simply desolate. Compared to forums on other wikis, our one is severely lacking. If we all collaborate we can make them active again.
Blog Post 8/12/2015
Hello, people who are reading this!
I am The_Orange_Knight and I play TimeSplitters and other games!
Never mind that, I am just seeing if this blog this is okay on here,
I might do this more and make a story about TimeSplitters or something like that.
Armor
Just now, I was searching for the definitive armor page so I could upload some pictures I took from TS 2. I was impeded in this task by the fact that there are three different pages. It seems that for the sake of redundancy, both the Armor Pickup and Body Armor pages shold be deleted. The and Armor Health and Armor page could still use some revamping.
Image Additions
Recently I have noticed that many pages. especially those of the TimeSplitters original, lack sufficient images. Soon I will download an ISO for the game and begin cataloging story missions in greater detail. This blog probably looks super dumb because I have never done one before, but such is the price of ignorance.
UPDATE: As of September 3, 2015, I have just about 0 ISOs, since I had to replace my computer's hard drive, so it may be a little while before I can contribute again.
Story Of Duckman Drake
Once upon a time there is a duck named Drake. By the way, A Drake is a male duck. Anyways Duckman Drake lives in the nice blue water! He loves to swim and drinks water alot, One morning he went for a swim until he got shot by a dart. The fat man known as Big Tony shot him with a dart which would turn him into a man sized duck. Soon, Duckman Drake walked on the path so he was shocked that he is big and he scared the fat man away to Chicago. Duckman Drake was itchy since he was shot. Anyways he went to USA and found himself at a Chinese Restaurant so he entered because he thought nobody was home. Then Chinese Chef found him and trapped him in the water. Duckman Drake is stuck at the restaurant so next night, he was listening to Gaston Bouche…
So, I fixed my EasyCap...
It had been causing my computer to crash every time I started to record something, I found. Finally I put 2 and 2 together and deduced I needed to try to reinstall the software. And lo and behold, that worked. So now I can take some custom in-game pics again and upload those to the wiki. Yay. I started with the TS2 mapmaker "classic" pickup items.
I am still trying to figure out this wiki thing. One question among many I have, is: why is the blog tab only available when I'm logged out? I started this blog just to see what would happen after I start it, after logging in the log-in prompt. Will I see the blog at all when logged in? Who knows...

The New Generation
Despite the age of the TimeSplitters series, I would still hope to pass it on to a younger generation, if only to give a little nostalgic taste of all the fun I've had with it. After my little cousin saw me playing TS2 the other day, he begged me for a go. Since it lacked the buckets of blood from TSFP, this didn't seem to be an issue. Now, he's spent the whole day playing it, and is quite partial to Flame Tag (as well as the Stone Golem and Scourge Splitter). From this point onwards, though, I don't really have an issue if he moves on to other things. Seeing him score a real-life Most Manic award and jump around like crazy and have a great time, as well as experience TimeSplitters for a bit, is enough for me. Still, seeing him enjoy a bit more …

I sure i like here game i have TS1 old PS2 and TSFP Old xbox :S im fine i give TSFP PS2 for Brissa
